Mechanical Problems Cited In Lawsuit Over Alton Crash

Mechanical problems that occur in a car or other vehicle can create a hazardous condition.  These mechanical problems can be due to many reasons, such as a defective part or component.  As well, they can be caused by lack of proper vehicle maintenance.  Another problem can be tires that are overly worn or otherwise not properly maintained, that can lead to a loss of traction or a tire blowout.

Mechanical problems are one of many reasons that a vehicle loss of control can occur.  As discussed on the “Southern Illinois Loss Of Vehicle Control Accidents” page, this type of problem is one of many that can lead to a loss of vehicle control and subsequent crash.

There is a lawsuit that has been filed regarding a car crash that involved a mechanical problem and subsequent alleged crash causing injuries.  The crash occurred in Alton.  The crash and lawsuit is discussed in the April 6, 2018 Madison Record article titled “Motorist with mechanical issues allegedly caused Alton collision.”  Two excerpts from the article:

A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly stopping in the middle of the road without warning due to mechanical issues and causing a collision.

Amber Walker filed a complaint on March 22 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Stephen Kelsall, alleging he failed to warn other drivers on the road of any impending danger.

Among alleged injuries suffered by Walker in the crash include those to the thoracic region, back, right knee, and ribs.

Additional details concerning this lawsuit which alleges mechanical problems contributed to a crash can be seen in the sources mentioned above.
