Fatal Motorcycle Accident Near Collinsville, Illinois

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Monday (September 8, 2014) near Collinsville, Illinois.

This Madison County accident was first reported at 10:56 a.m., after a motorcyclist riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle lost control for an unknown reason, left the roadway, and crashed along the southbound entrance ramp of Interstate 255 from southbound Interstate 55/70.

The motorcyclist was identified as Robert K. Dicken, 56, of Springfield, Illinois.  He was declared dead at the accident scene at 12:08 p.m. by the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
