Semi Truck Accident In Wayne County, Illinois

There was a truck accident in Wayne County (Southern Illinois) on Monday, August 25, 2014.  The accident involved a semi truck that went off the road and flipped onto its side after the driver tried to avoid hitting a deer.

According to the Illinois State Police, the truck accident happened on mile post 93 of westbound I-64 at approximately 2:25 p.m.

At that time, the truck’s driver, identified as Lisa Gail Franklin, 48, of Evansville, Indiana, said she swerved to avoid hitting a deer.

In swerving, the truck went off the road and toppled onto its side.

Lisa Franklin and a passenger were taken to a Mount Vernon hospital.
