There was a Southern Illinois three-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon (June 7, 2014) on Illinois 13 in Cambria, Illinois.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) this three-vehicle crash happened at approximately 2:45 p.m., as a woman was driving a Dodge minivan eastbound on Illinois 13. The collision happened as she turned into the path of a westbound Toyota Scion at the intersection of Illinois 13 and Cambria Road.
A third vehicle, a Kia Rio, was also hit during the collision.
The driver of the minivan was identified as Melissa Simpson, 31, of Herron. Two passengers in her minivan, a 4-year-old and a 10-year-old, were taken to a local hospital with injuries described as minor.
The driver of the Scion was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
