Train Collides With Car In Marion, Illinois

A freight train hit a car today (February 25, 2014) in Marion, Illinois.

This collision happened at roughly 1:00 p.m., as a Crab Orchard and Egyptian freight train struck the car as it was heading eastbound on Halfway Road.

A passenger in the car was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center.  Neither the train conductors or the car’s driver were injured.
