Fatal Car Accident In Johnson County, Illinois

There was a fatal Southern Illinois car accident on Friday (November 29, 2013) in Goreville, Illinois.

An excerpt from thesouthern.com ariticle of November 29, 2013, titled “Marion woman killed in single-vehicle crash in Goreville” :

…state police said an elderly driver fell asleep while driving southbound on Illinois 37 near Fly Avenue about 9:40 a.m. The car left the roadway to the right, traveled down a small embankment and struck a concrete culvert.

The car’s passenger, identified as Theresa Boester, 80, of Marion, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The car’s driver, John Boester, was flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, with injuries including two broken wrists and possible internal injuries.
