Hit & Run Accident In Madison County, Illinois

There was a hit & run accident in Godfrey, Illinois, early Saturday morning (August 24, 2013.)

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at approximately 2:40 a.m., in the 7200 block of Montclair Avenue.

A pedestrian walking northbound along the roadway was struck by a pickup truck that crossed onto the shoulder.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with injuries considered to be non-life-threatening.

According to the victim of the hit & run, the pickup truck is described as small and dark colored, with a loud exhaust.
