There was a fatal car accident south of Benton, Illinois on Saturday, April 13.
Details concerning the accident appear limited at this time.
The woman killed was Kelley M. DeWitt, 24. She was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Two other women in the vehicle – the driver, Melissa M. Beasley, 29, and Kristi K. Boyer, 28, both of Benton – were airlifted to hospitals.
According to authorities, the accident happened just after 10 p.m., on Forest Baptist Church Road south of Benton, just east of South Forest Baptist Church Road.
An investigation is ongoing; alcohol is reported to be a factor in the accident.
