Fatal Truck Collision In Randolph County, Illinois

There was a fatal collision between two trucks Tuesday (March 26) on County Line Road at Black Stump Road, about four miles north of Willisville, Illinois in Randolph County.  The accident happened at about 2:20 p.m.

According to Illinois State Police (ISP), the driver of a propane tank truck was killed after his truck “rear-ended” a coal truck.

Illinois State Police say that Mickey E. Clayton, 55, of Franklin, Illinois was driving the propane tank truck.  The ISP says the propane truck exploded on impact.

The coal truck was driven by Randy Edwards, 48, of Pinckneyville.  Edwards escaped the accident without injury.
