Randolph County Vehicle Accident

There was a vehicle accident on Wednesday (January 16) in Randolph County, Illinois.

Details on the accident are limited.

However, it is being reported that it was a two-vehicle accident.  The accident happened as Bethany Peters, 20, of Sparta was driving westbound on Illinois 154, when her car went off the road about one-half mile from Degen Lane.  Peters’ car then reentered the westbound lane, and then struck a semi truck heading east.

The truck was driven by William Stafford, 20, of Sparta.

The accident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
