On Monday, there was an early morning car accident on Illinois 255 in Roxana, Illinois. It was a single-vehicle accident.
The accident happened at approximately 1:02 a.m., when a pickup truck driven by Ronald E. Little, 32, of Waxahachie, Texas, was driving north on Illinois 255. For an unknown reason, the pickup truck left the roadway and entered the grassy median, went under the interstate, crossed Wheel Wagon Road, and then struck a concrete bridge base.
Little was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital.
According to the Illinois State Police, Little was cited for improper lane usage, as well as the illegal transportation of alcohol.
